Random Thought re Time Wasting

By chance I see a remix of a Beyonce  song was released on You Tube called Megan Thee Stallion - Savage Remix (feat. Beyoncé) [Official Audio]   and this was released on the 1 May 2020.

As at the 4th May 2020 it has been viewed 11 Million times and being 4.02 min long that would take one person a combined time of 84 years to watch this.

The challenge to anybody reading this is to ask yourself, are you a creator of content or a consumer of content? That simple.

What a waste to just be a consumer of content, and very much the reason I am more a proponent of reading books than watching movies. As a movie watcher you don't have to think, the content is all provided to you. And then you become a dumbed down version of yourself.

If you read books, you need to conjure up images in your mind, firing up the right hand side of your brain and stimulating the creativity within.  Surely that must be more meaningful?

And artists , whether writers, musicians, painters  are not seen in the same light as some high end Wall Street hedge fund manager , I am willing to bet my money on the work of the good artist outlasting the work of the good hedge fund manager.

Just food for thought from a rambling old soul.
